Hello Beautiful Friends!
Making your own hand cream is one of the easiest steps into a more self-sufficient life. I started making my own products for my skin in my early twenties because I have sensitive skin and wanted to make sure the ingredients were safe. My hands were also always dry from gardening, canning, harvesting, creating…I needed something super moisturizing without costing a fortune. Then I worked in spas for years and learned even more about how to make truly effective, nourishing skin products.
Welcome to Oceans Bliss Portal! Now I just make creams seasonally, with what’s already growing around me. Dandelions are one of those gifts. I infuse them into oil and turn them into a whipped butter that actually brings my hands back to life.
If you need to make the Dandelion Oil first, grab the Dandelion Oil recipe here. You can always come back to this recipe once your oil is ready.

Wild Dandelion Hand + Cuticle Butter
Ingredients:
– 3/4 cup shea butter
– 3 tbsp dandelion-infused oil
– 1 tbsp vitamin E oil
– 1 1/2 tbsp grated beeswax (or pastilles)
How I make it:
– Melt shea butter + beeswax together in a double boiler until fully liquid.
– Stir gently as it melts so everything blends smooth.
– Remove from heat and let cool slightly (don’t skip this or you’ll lose the fluff).
– Stir in the dandelion oil and vitamin E oil
– Place in the fridge for about 30–40 minutes until it starts to set around the edges but is still soft in the middle.
– Whip with a hand mixer until light and fluffy. If it gets too soft, chill again briefly and re-whip.
– Spoon into a clean jar or tin (8oz mason jars work perfectly).

– At night on slightly damp hands to lock in moisture
– A small amount goes a long way
– Cotton gloves over top if my hands are really dry or cracked
– It’s richer than lotion, more like a slow repair balm. I spent the time to massage it into my hands and cuticles.
