Homemade Pine Vinegar Disinfectant

Ingredients

• 2 cups pine needles (fresh or dried)

• 2 cups white vinegar
  (Apple cider vinegar also works for a slightly softer scent)

• 1 cup distilled water

• 10 drops pine essential oil (optional, for extra strength)

• 5 drops tea tree or lemon essential oil (optional)

Step 1: Infuse the Vinegar

1. Place the pine needles into a clean glass jar.

2. Cover completely with vinegar.

3. Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place for 2–4 weeks, shaking occasionally.

4. Once infused, strain out the pine needles and keep the pine vinegar.

Step 2: Make the Cleaning Spray

1. In a spray bottle combine:

   • 1 part pine-infused vinegar

   • 1 part distilled water

2. Add essential oils if using.

3. Shake gently before each use.

That’s it. Your homemade forest cleaner is ready.

How I Use It Around the House

This cleaner works beautifully for:

• Kitchen counters

• Bathroom surfaces

• Windowsills

• Door handles and light switches

• Floors (diluted further in mop water)

The scent is fresh, grounding, and natural — nothing like the artificial “pine” smell you get from store-bought cleaners.
