2023 was the year of the moon for me. I made it a mission to capture the moon every month, from the icy Wolf Moon in January to the glowing Harvest Moon in September. I’d hunt for the best views day and night, camera ready, eyes on the skies. So, when Halloween rolled around with a Full Hunter Moon hanging in the air, I was elated—like all my lunar chasing had led to this magical moment.

The Full Hunter Moon couldn’t have picked a better night. With its bright glow, it lit up the spooky vibes of Halloween, casting an eerie yet enchanting light across the land.

Traditionally, the Hunter Moon is the first full moon after the Harvest Moon. It got its name because this was the time to hunt and stock up for winter, as the fields were cleared and the animals were more easily spotted. It symbolizes preparation, survival, and reaping the final rewards of the year’s work.

For me, this moon marked the culmination of my year-long moon chase, and the perfect finish to a year of lunar magic. Here’s to more moon-filled adventures!
