My photography story started over twenty years ago. It all began when I bought my first film camera in Bali followed by a collection of lenses from Japan. Nikki the Nikon became my new sidekick and together we roamed across the planet. My story took a turn when I settled in Bali, near Uluwatu, a surfer approached me and asked if I would take his photos while surfing. This sparked a small income stream. I’d perch on top of a cliff and shoot away, capturing surfers and selling the shots. Some of my shots made the front cover of a Balinese Surf Magazine.

I also used my photos to decorate the walls at the spas and wellness centers where I worked. I remember one client calling my photography, ‘wall decor for the heart and soul’. This gave me the confidence to sell a few prints here and there. I would also gift them to clients when they were particularly captivated by a specific shot. The spa manager referred to me as their resident ‘wellness practitioner and wellness photographer’! The picture is of me in my front yard in Bali!

The latest chapter in my photography journey began upon returning home. The breathtaking beauty of BC swept me off my feet, and I was inspired to pursue my dream of capturing the moon, sun, stars, sunsets & sunrises. I bought a digital camera, taught myself how to use it and started to create collections to share with you.
