On a magical winter morning, I found myself gazing up, captivated by the breathtaking sight of the full moon in February. The Snow Moon is a symbol of winter’s beauty, reminding us of kindness and compassion and the captivating power of this celestial phenomenon. 

Welcome back to Oceans Bliss Portal! In this story, I invite you to join me on a journey through “The Legend of the Snow Moon”. It is one of the most popular legends surrounding the Snow Moon,  a traditional folktale about a kind and generous spirit who takes care of a lost and vulnerable boy. 

The story goes something like this:

“A young boy becomes lost in a blizzard, wandering through the snowdrifts and searching for warmth and shelter. As he wanders, he comes across a beautiful
woman who glows with a soft light and wears a cloak of snowflakes. The woman introduces herself as the Snow Moon and invites the boy to follow her to a cozy cabin deep in the woods.

The Snow Moon welcomes the boy into her home, offering him warm blankets, hot soup, and a roaring fire. She tells him stories about the winter and shares secrets about the snow and ice, teaching him to appreciate the beauty and magic of the season. The boy stays with the Snow Moon for several days, until the blizzard passes and he is able to find his way back home.”

For me, I love the story and celebrate the meaning of February’s full moon by remembering in gratitude the people who have shown me kindness that changed the course of my life.
